Christmas with Aunt Kelly

My first VeggieTales DVD! All about Saint Nicholas

All my presents from Aunt Kelly...I can't believe there are even more coming from Nana and Papa and Gigi and Buddy!

I loved getting my first Elmo book...I laughed and laughed when I saw Elmo on the cover!

This was your first Christmas experience. Naturally, everything you got went straight into the mouth, and we had so much fun opening all the presents. Thank you, Aunt Kelly, for spoiling me so much!

Merry Christmas, buddy! We love you so much

First time swinging

This was your first time on a swing and you loved it! We were at Uncle D and Aunt Lissa's for Megan's 2nd birthday party. So much fun!

Dax rolling over

You rolled from your back to your belly for the first time at Nana and Papa's house when you were 5 months old.

Getting handprints

Mommy wanted to get your footprint and hand print for your baby book. It was no fun, but you were a trooper and now we have such a special memory!

This was your first bath in the hospital. You seemed to love having water on your head. Daddy loved being a part of this. Mommy was back in the room waiting for you to be brought to her.

Mommy and Dax

Dax, this was the first time I got to hold you! I waited for this moment my whole life and it was better than I ever dreamed it would be. I love you, Doodle. You are the most precious gift God has given us. You'll notice in this video that the minute the nurse wrapped you up you found a way to get your hand out of the swaddle. You always managed to do that and that's why we call you Houdini

Your first moments

Some of these videos are way past due, but I wanted you to have them so you could see all these special moments in life. This was the very first moment that mommy and daddy saw you and heard you cry. Mommy started crying too because she was so happy to finally meet you. Daddy was the proudest daddy alive!

Priceless moments with Nonnie

This was during out visit with Dick and Nonnie, your great grandparents. The loved you so much and each time Nonnie held you she said, "I think he gained 10 lbs. since the last time I held him."

Christmas fun

These are the gifts I made for our neighbors, friends and staff here in Colorado. Its called "Cowboy Cookie Jar" and I found it on allrecipes.com. Then I just made the little decorative top out of a fun fabric and ribbon.

Too cute for words...

...so a picture will have to suffice...we love you, buddy!

Dax and Friends

Dax and Joy Hanneman
Dax and his best friend, daddy!

Dax and Joy again

Dax and his friend, Colin (and Colin's mommy and daddy)

Dax and cousin Ashtyn

1st time at the beach!

Dax, this was your first time at the beach! We were in San Destin, FL at a Navigator conference. You were very melancholy the whole time, but you loved being in the water...even though it was pretty cold. Daddy was so excited that you loved the water and he can't wait to teach you how you surf someday!

Visiting Nonnie and Dick

In November we went to Atlanta, GA and visited lots friends. Most importantly we visited your Great Nonnie and your Great Grandpa Dick. These are daddy's grandma and grandpa. We are so glad you got to meet them and they got to meet you. They love you so much and thought you were the cutest baby every...which you are!

Our little daredevil

We knew that when we found you like this there would be no stopping you from going everywhere. I put you in your bouncy seat, strapped you in, and ran downstairs to grab something. When I came back up this is how I found you...trying to escape. Since you were born we have called you houdini because you always seem to be trying to escape from anything holding you down!
You are the cutest ever!
This is very common for you...putting anything and everything in your mouth!

In this picture we stuck you in a box because we were going to ship you to one of your grandparents. You were barely sleeping and were kind of grumpy all the time. Its had to see that in this picture, but its true! Just kidding...we couldn't go a day without you we love you so much!

This was crazy bed head day! You woke up after your morning nap and your hair was everywhere...but, or course, you were happy as can be! You are so full of joy, Dax, and that is what we prayed for you when you were in mommy's tummy!
Sometimes you make these faces at us like, "what, mom? I am trying to play with my rubber ducky right now. Stop taking pictures of me all the time."

Messy meal time

This is a little run in you had with peas. You kept taking off your bib so mommy decided to just get rid of it. Within seconds you had grabbed a spoonful of peas and wiped it all over yourself. These are some of the funnest moments with you, Dax. Just being silly and not caring about little messes. We love you and you just make us laugh all the time! Look how cute you are! You will notice (in coming posts) that we often stuck you in boxes. Not sure why, but you loved being in a box! Your shirt says, "mommy thinks I'm cool". Its so true! Daddy and I think you are the coolest boy in the whole world...and you're ours!

In October of 2009 we took a 2 week trip to Iowa to fundraise and to see Papa, Nana and all the aunts and uncles and cousins. Here you are sitting with Nana. She hurt her foot and had to sit in a wheel chair, but you didn't mind. You loved getting rides from her around the house. It soothed you even in your grumpiest times. We love Nana and Papa!

The two pictures above are your first encounter with kittens. Nana and Papa had them in their backyard and you were so curious. You just looked at them suspiciously, at first. Then you stuck your fingers in their ears and proceeded to try and put them in your mouth. This isn't uncommon for you...you put every thing in your mouth!

Here is your cousin Allie holding you at cousin Megan's 2nd birthday party. All the cousins love baby Dax!

This is your first time on a swing! You absolutely loved the wind blowing in your face!

Fun pics

We love this picture because it shows how much you look like your daddy.
I love all my time with you, Dax!

This is a frequent hairstyle for you. In all your pictures you will notice you have thicker hair right down the middle of your head. We love to spike it at any chance!
But you still have mommy's eyes...there's no arguing that!

I think this is the sweetest picture with your little "wilderness scout" t-shirt on. You look like such a big boy sitting in the chair by yourself.

Solid Foods

Here you are eating solid foods...mushy cereal...for the first time. You started eating solids at 5 months and you love it! Now, at 7 months, you eat everything we give you: carrots, green beans, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach and, of course, all kinds of fruit! You are a wonderful little eater, but you still manage to stay long and lean. Thanks for being such a sweet baby!

Dax, here are just a few fun candid shots of our little family. We truly think you are the cutest baby...EVER! You are so fun to be with; always smiling and making silly noises. You love rolling around on the floor...you learned to roll from your belly to your back at 4 months and from your back to your belly at 5 1/2 months. You are such a joy to us, sweet baby! We love you

First Teeth

Okay, so this is long overdo, Dax, but mommy is finally getting around to writing more on your blog. You keep her so busy (since you barely ever sleep) that its hard to find the time to update this "journal". Well, here you are at 4 months when you got your FIRST TWO TEETH! Many people were very surprised, because most babies don't get teeth this early. However, you are a Frazer and Aunt Kelly got her first baby tooth when she was just 3 months. It was not easy to have those teeth break through...we were up during the night for a couple nights as a result. Love you, buddy!
